Celebrating the Vedic Calendar. – 30 Minutes
This program of knowledge and experience enlivens bliss and balance in mind and body. Maharishi explains that in Vedic life every day is a celebration to remind the people of the particular Law of Nature—the particular Vedic Devata—lively that day. This tradition of celebrating the different expressions of Nature’s Intelligence throughout the year is offered approximately 2-4 times per week in half-hour celebrations of the special days of the Vedic Calendar. Beautiful graphics are used in each show to present knowledge about that day. A special feature of each show is traditional Vedic Recitation to enliven that day’s particular quality of Natural Law in our awareness, our physiology, and our environment.

January 12th
Each year Maharishi Mahesh Yogi inaugurates the new year, bringing out the new direction that Natural Law will take throughout the year. His Majesty Raja Nader Raam and his 40 Ministers of the Global Country of World Peace give inspiring reports on the progress of their global activities. Nine Days of Mother Divine — Spring
Enlivening the administering intelligence of nature that is lively at this time of year to promote peace and prosperity.

Akshaya Tritiya-Day of Lasting Achievement — April or May
On this day each year the Laws of Nature are most supportive of beginning new programmes or undertakings. Maharishi often addresses the world on this auspicious day.

Guru Purnima — Summer
The Day of Fullness of Guru Dev is when Maharishi celebrates the achievements of the Global Country of World Peace. His Majesty Raja Nader Raam and his 40 Ministers of the Global Country of World Peace give inspiring reports on the progress of their global activities. There is often traditional Vedic Recitation and animations celebrating Swarn-Jayanti of Shri Guru Dev.

Veda and the Vedic Literature are the expressions of the impulses of Natural Law at the basis of everything in the universe, the expression of Natural Law as it evolves from its unmanifest field of WHOLENESS to all its expressions in different manifest fields. Maharishi explains that Vedic sounds are reverberations of Atma—the Cosmic Self of everyone.

Natural Law is also the functioning intelligence within everyone’s physiology. Therefore Vedic recitation enlivens the total brain and all of the expressions of Natural Law in the physiology, promoting balance and bliss in mind and body.

Tradition Recitation of Veda and the Vedic Literature by Vedic Pandits is often broadcast on Maharishi Channel during Global Celebrations, special presentations, or as part of Maharishi Open University courses. Vedic recitation is often accompanied with beautiful animations of traditional expressions of the Vedic Literature.
