IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

THE MAHARISHI CHANNEL IS MOVING TO
AN ALL INTERNET BROADCAST
FROM NOVEMBER 1ST 2008!

  • The Ministry of Communication is pleased to announce an upgraded, high speed, high quality Maharishi Channel on the Internet (Channel 3) to be introduced this month. You will be able to see on your computer anywhere you are all your favorite Maharishi Channel programs including Maharishi's Global Family Chat, Maharishi lectures and global celebrations with a new clarity.
  • Please go to www.maharishichannel.in to view all of the five wonderful channels Maharishi established for us, and to see announcements about the new upgraded broadcast channel for Maharishi's Global Family Chat and other programming.
  • As of November 1st, we are transferring all Maharishi Channel satellite services to this new high quality Maharishi Channel on the Internet. By 31st October therefore all satellite viewers should kindly arrange to switch to the Internet channel.
  • We made this change to all Internet broadcasting because only a relatively small number of viewers were watching by satellite as compared to the Internet, thus the cost per viewer was very high (satellites are very costly). The majority of our viewers are already using the Internet now, and we hope it will not be too inconvenient for those who have been watching by satellite to make this shift to watching on the computer via the Internet (where the video and audio quality will be just as good or better than on the satellite broadcast, and will only get better and better in the future). The Maharishi Channel through the Internet is available to anyone in the world with a computer and an Internet connection.
  • The Maharishi Channel thanks all the satellite viewers and viewers on the Internet who have been generously supporting the Maharishi Channel over the years, and asks your continued support to fund all our broadcasting operations, which are expensive even through the Internet. Please check on this site in the future for new, worldwide support options.

  • It is possible to connect your computer to a large screen to watch the Maharishi Channel. Simply connect the VGA output of your computer to a computer monitor, or if you have an S-Video output connect it to a TV monitor. A scan converter can also be used to connect to a TV monitor.
  • We will be developing many new Maharishi Channel programs and features in the coming months.
  • Our satellite over India and Asia will continue to broadcast after October 31st and will not be affected by this change. Our Indian satellite programming is also undergoing many changes, including the broadcast of many hours of beautiful tapes Maharishi made in Hindi. The Indian satellite will be delivered to millions of Indian homes through the Indian cable systems. Professional media and marketing consultants are being engaged in India to really make the Maharishi Channel in India watched by the entire population.
